Pointe/Men's Work

Class will start with a brief choreographed warm up for both groups of dancers, including some barre and strength training, and the center exercises will alternate between pointe and men’s work.

Exercises will stay the same for a period of 4-6 weeks in order to maximize efficiency in class and provide the greatest opportunity for mastery of various skills. Emphasis will be on the basic technique of each discipline, including Tour en l’Air, à la Seconde turns, and Batterie for men’s work. For dancers en Pointe, we will be safely working towards and improving our Pirouettes, Piqué turns, and toe hops.
